What is Mobile Warming Technology?

Mobile Warming Technology is a performance heated apparel line by Fieldsheer. Our garments keep you warm in the most extreme conditions. Battery powered and many garments bluetooth controlled, our jackets, vests, gloves and socks utilize the latest infrared technology to provide outstanding levels of warmth.

How do you operate the garments?

Our heated products with Mobile Warming technology are operated via 3.7v, 7.4v, and 12v rechargeable batteries. Simply connect the battery to the cord found in your garment, turn on the battery, and press and hold the touch-control button on your garment on until the LED lights up. Press the touch-control button quickly to to achieve your desired level of warmth.

There are two commonly missed steps to turning on the heating panels. First, turn on the battery by pressing and holding for 3-5 seconds. Second, press and hold the garment's power button for 3-5 seconds. Below are more detailed steps to turning on our 12V garments.

Fully charge the battery and connect it to the garment.

  1. Press and hold the battery's power button for 3-5 seconds until the 100% LED is blinking.
  2. Press and hold the garment's power button for 3-5 seconds. The button will turn red, which indicated the hottest setting.
  3. To cycle through the settings, briefly press the garment’s power button.
  4. To turn off your garment, hold the garment's power button for 3-5 seconds again.
  5. If you are having trouble turning your garment back on, please charge your batteries. Be aware batteries are often not fully charged when they first arrive.

How do I clean my garment?

Detailed garment care instructions are included with all products. Most products are machine washable. Please consult our Apparel Care page for specific instructions regarding your garment.

Where do I register my product?

All Fieldsheer garments have a 1 year product warranty from the date of purchase. To activate your warranty, you must register at the following page: https://fieldsheer.com/pages/product-registration.

Does heated gear interfere with Avalanche Transceivers?

Although our heated gear is tested to meet all regulations for Radio Frequency, it is possible to cause interference with Avalanche Transceivers due the heating elements and Bluetooth Low Energy incorporated in our heated gear. Therefore, it is recommended to turn off the heated apparel / gloves while searching using Avalanche Trasceiver to reduce the possibility of interference. If you are buried while wearing heated apparel / Gloves while turned on, the search beacon will see interference when it is within a 1/2 meter radius of the heated apparel / gloves.

Orders, Returns and Exchanges

Where is my order?

Online orders are processed Monday through Friday by 9 am PST. Any order placed after 9 am PST will be processed the next business day. Orders that qualify for free shipping are sent via FedEx Ground or FedEx Smartpost. Transit times vary. Faster transit times are also available at an increased cost. You will receive a confirmation email once your order has shipped with tracking information. If you have any questions about your order, send us an email at info@fieldsheer.com and someone from our team will be in touch within 48 hours.

Can I cancel or change my order?

We aim to get you your product as quickly as possible. Once your order is processed, we cannot cancel it. If you wish to return it, please follow our return process found on the Returns & Exchanges page.

What is the Return Policy?

Fieldsheerca.com offers a 30 Day Money Back Guarantee intended to give you peace of mind when purchasing Fieldsheer heated apparel online at fieldsheer.com. If you aren't satisfied with your purchase, you can return your new and unused product purchased from Fieldsheer.com, in its original packaging and with all applicable tags attached, within 30 days of the date you received your order, and we will happily refund the purchase price. To start a return, please visit our returns and exchanges page. Please note, all costs associated with returning product under this guarantee are the responsibility of the purchaser. When returning items, please be sure to use a traceable method and retain proof of postage paid and the tracking number.

Batteries

My battery does not stay on?

Batteries with white LEDS (Model No.s: MW74V040, MW74V022, MW74V023), turn on by briefly pressing the power button. Multiple lights will appear and stay on. Pressing and holding the power button on these batteries will turn them off.

Batteries with green or red LEDs (Model No.s: MW74V22, MW12V52, MW37V22-N, MW37V022, MW37V122), press and hold the battery’s power button for 3-5 seconds. Only the 100% will appear and stay on.

Some batteries have a timer after which they will shut off if not powering a garment. If your battery is turned on and powering a garment, but randomly shuts off while it still has a charge, please contact our customer services as: cs@fieldsheer.com. We would be happy to assist you with troubleshooting and looking into a warranty.

How long does my battery last?

The amount of time the battery lasts will vary due to several factors such as the number of heating panels in the garment, the mAh of the battery, and the outside temperature. Most garments used with their original battery last approximately 8-10 hours on low and 2-3 hours on high.

Please refer to your garment's user manual for estimated heat times for your specific product available on product page.

Can I charge my phone with my battery?

Battery models MW12V52 and MW74V040 both can charge your phone or other devices through their USB-A output. While charging another device, your battery should not be plugged into your heated garment or its own charger.

Where can I get an extra battery or charger?

You can purchase additional batteries from www.fieldsheer.com on the garment product page on navigating via Battery collection.

How do I care for my battery?

Refer to your user manual for details on battery care or visit fieldsheer.com/pages/battery-care.

How do I dispose of my battery properly?

Do not throw into the trash. We recommend to dispose of your battery at an authorized recycling facility.

At what temperature does my battery performance decline?

Battery Performance, in regards to both battery capacity and function, is directly affected by the temperature outside. This will vary from garment to garment as it depends on how the battery pack is exposed. However, to provide some guidelines on operating temperature for our battery see the specs below.

Are the new 7.4v USB batteries compatible with older 7.4v garments?

Yes. The new 7.4V Micro USB batteries DC port is compatible with older 7.4V garments.

How can I tell if my battery is on?

Depending upon your Mobile Warming garment, the following batteries LED indicator shows the garment battery is turned on:
12v Garments with Battery MW12V52– Single flashing 100% LED (Turn on: Hold for 3-5 seconds. Pressing once will display battery life only.)
7.4v Garments with Battery MW74V222– Single solid 100% LED (Turn on: Hold for 3-5 seconds. Pressing once will display battery life only.)
3.7v Premium Sock Battery MW37V22-N– Single solid 100% LED and flashing 25% LED. (Turn on: Hold for 3-5 seconds. Pressing once will display battery life only.)
3.7v Standard Sock Battery MW370– Single solid 100% LED (Turn on: Hold for 3-5 seconds. Pressing once will display battery life only.)

I can’t connect to my Fieldsheer heated product on my MW connect app. What else can I do?
  1. For iPhone users: verify your iOS is 9.0 or later
  2. For Android users: verify your OS version is 5.0 or later
  3. Permissions:
    Bluetooth function: Our app uses Bluetooth BLE to connect with your phone. When you first use our MW Connect app, the app will require permission to access Bluetooth or Location services to utilize Bluetooth BLE. Please select Yes.

Cooling Technologies

What is drirelease®?

drirelease® technology is not a surface application. Performance properties are “built into” each thread of our fabrics. Engineered for conducting a refreshing experience, drirelease® fabrics offer an engineered blend of 85% synthetic hydrophobic (water repelling) fibers and 15% natural hydrophilic (water absorbing) fibers. The built-in combination efficiently pulls moisture and perspiration away from the skin and pushes it to the exterior of the fabric where it can evaporate quickly. That is why clothing made with drirelease always feels soft and cool and stays dry. With a commitment to eco-friendly, sustainable materials, drirelease® fabric uses 38% recycled materials.

What is Hydrologic® Cooling?

Hydrologic® technology is our water activated advanced evaporation technology that invokes an accelerated cooling experience. Built into our Mobile Cooling; Hydrologic Vests, Cooling Towels, and our Cooling Neckbands. The cooling effect is activated when soaking our Hydrologic fibers in cold water. When the fibers reach their max saturation, and excess water is removed from the garment, the Hydrologic fibers begin a moderated evaporation process right on the surface of the body. This evaporation of liquid created a reduction in body temperature as latent heat is removed.

How do you activate the garments?

These items are easy to activate. Simply wet it then wring, snap or wipe away excess liquid, and you have immediate relief even on the hottest days. Resetting the cooling experience is as easy as soaking the garment again in a cold source of water. All of our Mobile Cooling Hydrologic garments include specific instructions regarding how to best activate your garment.

How do I use my Hydrologic® Plus Ice Packs?

Designed for both professional and recreational use our Mobile Cooling Hydrologic Vests contain the lion’s share of Mobile Cooling technologies. With a plethora of Hydrologic water-activated cooling fibers on their interior that draws heat away and keeps you in the field longer. You can also add in our fast-acting Hydrologic Pro® Cooling Ice Packs for instant results and long-lasting comfort for over three hours in even the harshest conditions. Our Mobile Cooling Hydrologic products are easy to maintain and built to last, providing a reliable long lasting comfort for any outdoor task.

Warranty

What is the fieldsheer warranty policy?

Our warranty applies only to the original purchaser and only for items purchased from an authorized Fieldsheer Dealer.

LIMITED WARRANTY

When you purchase a Fieldsheer brand product from an authorized Fieldsheer retailer within the United States the materials and construction of the product is warranted to be completely free from factory defects in materials and workmanship for a period of one (1) year from the date of purchase. If any failure in the fabrics or construction of any Fieldsheer product covered under this warranty occurs due to the manufacturer’s defect within one (1) year of the purchase of the product, the product will be repaired at no charge.

Costs associated with shipping the item in under warranty is the responsibility of the purchaser.

How do I know if I have a defect?

Defects may come in many forms, and will usually show up right away. Some examples include:

  • A snap that falls off.
  • A shock cord/bungee that pulls out or breaks.
  • A seam that was never sewn, comes unraveled, or has broken threads.
  • Material/Fabric along the seams that frays out and lets go.
  • A wire is broken.
  • The garment does not turn on or stay on.
  • A battery will not charge, even after changing charging cables.
What is not covered under warranty?
  • Normal wear and tear
  • "Accidents"
  • Damage from Washer/Dryer
  • Waterproof coating failure after extended use or storage
  • 686 gear not purchased from an authorized 686 dealer
  • Online purchases shipped internationally

Will my Fieldsheer product be repaired or replaced?

We issue replacements for products that are defective and under warranty.

How long is this going to take?

If we have all the information we need your warranty process should be completed within a few days. For the fastest replacement, please provide all the information below when you initiate your claim.

How can I check the status of my warranty claim?
